How to Make an Easy Eclipse Themed Thank You Card in Minutes
If you've been living under a rock, we'd like to let you know that there's an eclipse happening today! To celebrate this very rare occasion here in the United States, we made an eclipse themed thank you card using the new Under the Moon Stamp Set and the Full of Life Designer Series Paper (both will be launched in the 2024-25 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalog on May 1, 2024). We won't be seeing much of the eclipse here in Minnesota since it's going to be cloudy and rainy! Maybe we'll catch it next time in August 2044 ;)
We used Thick Basic White Cardstock for the base and folded it along the scoreline. We added a layer of Blueberry Bushel Cardstock behind the Full of Life Designer Series Paper. Next, we stamped the moon from the Under the Moon Stamp Set on a scrap piece of Basic White Cardstock using Blueberry Bushel ink. We filled the moon with Balmy Blue ink and a sponge dauber. For the sun, we punched out a circle and colored it with our Daffodil Delight ink and blending brushes. We stamped the sentiment from the Something Fancy Stamp Set in Blueberry Bushel ink on Basic White Cardstock and fussy cut it out. Finally, we added the Silver & Gold 1/8" Trim and Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the front of the card.
